A pair of "Butterfly Stools", maple, designed in 1954 for Vitra. Sori Yanagi was an iconic figure in Japanese industrial design. Originally created in 1954 using the moulded plywood technique that had been newly created by the Eameses. This model is most likely a later edition. Composed of two identical curved pieces of plywood, with brass fittings, often seen as butterfly wings, of which it gets its name.
